Zurich General Insurance‘s climate risk training for insurance brokers has been declared a finalist in the National Climate Change Adaption (NCCA) awards. Zurich is the only corporate finalist in the NCCA Research Facility (NCCARF) Climate Adaption Champions program.
Zurich begun its climate risk training for insurance brokers in 2009. Training has been held throughout the country, with more than 200 insurance brokers being trained last year. In 2011, Zurich has invited local government representatives to sessions to discuss with insurance brokers the common issues facing government and the insurance industry.
