Zurich makes further commitment to financial advisers Zurich Investments has reaffirmed its commitment to financial advisers by announcing a series of key sales appointments. General Manager – Investments, Matthew Drennan said, “Zurich’s focus and support of advisers and their clients is firmly embedded in our strategy and we want to ensure we continue to deliver high quality service as we grow the business. The strength of Zurich’s performance – in both retail and wholesale sales – continues to be robust in a very difficult market environment and the new appointments will help bolster our present drive.:Zurich has made three new appointments to its Melbourne Retail Sales Team: Mr Joe Tobias has been appointed Victorian and Tasmanian Regional Sales Manager. He is responsible for managing adviser relationships and implementing regional business development strategies for Victoria/Tasmania. He has over 12 years industry experience with previous roles at CBA, NAB and, most recently, Perpetual. Mr Ray Killey has been named Business Development Manager (BDM) for Victoria and Tasmania. He was previously a member of Zurich’s Queensland team. He has more than 10 years experience in financial services. Both Mr Tobias and Mr Killey are supported by another new appointment, Ms Sophie Koo, as Business Support Officer. Zurich is also expanding its NSW sales team with the appointment of Mr Nigel Waugh as a BDM. Mr Waugh has six years financial services experience and, prior to joining Zurich, worked as a BDM with AXA UK for two years in London. He has also spent time with Asgard and Colonial First State servicing NSW advisers. Zurich has also announced the appointment of Joanna Myers as BDM, Queensland. She has five years experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Zurich, she held a variety of roles at BT Financial Group in Wrap Key Accounts and Corporate Super. In the wholesales space Mr Tim Meggitt has been appointed National Key Account Manager. Mr Meggitt has more than 10 years in the industry and previously held various senior roles in Netwealth, Putnam and MLC.
