Westfarmers Federation Insurance (WFI) has announced that it has made special arrangements to help clients who were affected by the storms in Perth on March 22.
WFI has said additional insurance claims and assessing resources will be made available as well as extended hours of operation to cope with the influx of insurance claims.
WFI Western Operations Manager John Snowball, said clients “need not worry about finding their insurance policy details, simply call 9273 5625 or 1300 934 934 and the WFIteam will help you to lodge a claim.”
He also said water-damaged possessions, such as carpets and soft furnishings, can be removed from your property for hygiene reasons. “Please take photos and record details of the items before you dispose of them as this will help us to assess your claim. It will assist the claims process if you make an inventory of the possessions that have been damaged or lost.”
“Our priority is to ensure our clients are supported and that the insurance claims process is as easy as possible. We have put in place special arrangements to assist with this. Those clients with immediate needs will be given priority,” said Mr Snowball.
“Because of the extent of the damage we are experiencing a high volume of calls although we have put on extra resources to handle these and would like to kindly ask our clients for their patience during this time. The claims team is working as quickly as they can to ensure they can speak with clients and lodge claims.”
