Troy Brown has been selected as the new Managing Director of the Ausure Group. The group, consisting of Ausure Insurance Brokers and Ausure Financial Services, boasts 93 offices across Australia and has won numerous awards.
Troy takes over the reigns from Ausure’s Founding Director Wayne Brown who will continue to play an active role in the company after 13 years at the helm. Wayne is upbeat about Ausure’s future: “Troy has been selected to build on the success we have achieved to date and steer Ausure to become the leading AR network in Australia. He is ideally suited to the role of Managing Director and will take the businesses to great new places, helping many ARs develop their businesses along the way.”

Ausure’s new MD is passionate about insurance, having been involved with Agency/Authorised Representative business for over 10 years. Troy holds both a Financial Administration and a Law Degree from the University of New England. He has worked in private practice as a solicitor and is still currently a practicing solicitor and member of the Society of Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA). He is a senior associate member of ANZIIF and has recently completed a Masters Degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship, during which he specialised in Small Business Finance and Management.
Troy was previously General Manager of Hollard where he commenced their broking division. In three short years Troy created a very successful and lucrative business for Hollard and set up a very strong team to ensure the business continued to grow after his departure. Hollard Insurance recently honoured Troy as a Life Member of Hollard Select Brokers.
Besides his impressive background, the primary reason the Ausure Board chose Troy was for his natural leadership abilities. “He is approachable and down to earth but has the constitution to make the tough decisions.”
Wayne Brown reflects, “Ausure commenced in 1996 and, after receiving our license in 2003 with three branches and less than $3,000,000 in premium, we had to battle for agencies. I believe it was only persistence and my previous dealings with some senior industry managers that allowed us the break we needed. Ausure now has 93 offices, all of whom I am extremely proud to be associated with; after full integration of our newest branches we expect to place over $140,000,000.
