Suncorps massive integration project is nearly complete, the integration project began in 2007 after the aquisition of Promina.
Suncorp group executive business technology Jeff Smith explained aside from the cost savings, Suncorp has used the integration to test a range of new technology functions, including at its life insurance business, Asteron.
“The average cycle time to get a life insurance product has gone from several weeks to a day because we’ve put the pricing and underwriting rules online,” Mr Smith said. “There’s a focus on taking capability that is typically back office and making it self-service online.”
