QBE has announced to its travel insurance policyholder that “The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) are advising travellers to exercise ‘a high degree of caution’ if travelling to Thailand overall. There is current threat of political instability and possible terrorist attacks.
The following advice relates to QBE travel insurance policies issued prior to midnight AEDT, 14 March 2010. There is no provision to claim amendment/cancellation fees due to Thailand civil unrest for travel insurance policies issued after midnight AEDT on 14 March 2010.”
