New guide helps Queenslanders with flood claims

Legal Aid Queensland has released a new online guide on its websie to help Queenslanders process their insurance claims from the floods, storm and cyclones.
Assistant Treasurer Bill Shorten said the guide provides important how-to information to assist people submit their insurance claim. He said, “While it’s Queensland-specific, it will also be of assistance to people in other states facing similar circumstances.”
Attorney-General Robert McClelland said those affected by the floods have legal rights to pursue insurance claims, “A number of legal issues relating to insurance claims are being addressed, including housing and tenancy issues and lost or destroyed documents.”
