Perth-based Wayne Osborn has been appointed as a new Director of Wesfarmers, replacing retiring board member Patricia Cross.
Mr Osborn has an impressive track record. He is the former Chairman and Managing Director of Alcoa of Australia Ltd, has been Director of Thiess Pty Ltd since 2005 and was appointed as Thiess Chairman in 2008. He was also appointed to the board of Leighton Holdings Ltd in 2008 and Chairman of the Australian Institute of Marine Science in 2010.
Wesfarmers Chairman Dr Bob Every said he was delighted to welcome Mr Osborn to the board.
