When the National Bank of Australia (ASX:NAB) announced its bid for Life Insurer AXA Asia Pacific Holdings Limited (ASX:AXA), appears to of scuttled the bid by Tower Australia (ASX:TAL) leaving the market to wonder what other targets maybe in the offing for the major banks.
ANZ already owns ING, Commonwealth owns Colonial First State, and NAB owns MLC.
