Australian life insurer CommInsure has signed the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment

A Commonwealth Bank of Australia spokesperson said the investment team within the insurer is working on implementing the principles into the firm’s process now.

CommInsure provides a range of different life insurance, general insurance, travel insurance and immediate annuities products.

CommInsure joins a number of local and international insurance firms on the list including Finland’s Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company, Australia’s Insurance Australia Group (IAG), Zurich Financial Services Australia, Germany’s Munich Reinsurance AG and UK’s Standard Life.
