  • by The Quotesonline Team

CGU has issued a statement saying the insurer is processing insurance claims as quickly as possible. CGU has also called upon its national network to support their customers and staff who have been impacted by flooding in Queensland.

CGU customers who need to make claim contact CGU’s 24-hour claims service line as soon as possible on 1800 252 or speak to their insurance adviser.

To speed up the process, have the following information close by::
· Your policy number
· The contact name and phone number of the person holding the policy
· A loss description
· Details of the location where the loss occurred
· Details of any property damaged.

As of Wednesday 12 January 2011, the CGU office in Grey St, Brisbane has been temporarily closed. However, CGU assures that as a national insurer they are using their national network to support impacted customers and staff. The Brisbane office will re-open as soon as they are able but meanwhile all other CGU regional branches remain open.

CGU has asked customers in other areas of the country to be patient as they may experience delays in their normal business as CGU staff support the victims of the Queensland flood crisis.

CGU has assured customers the insurer will assess each claim on its individual merits and will be guided by the recommendations of independent hydrologists as required.
