CGU has been named the General Insurer of the Year
CGU has been named the General Insurer of the Year award at the National Insurance Brokers Convention.
This is the 2nd year in a row that the insurer has taken out this prestigious award, other finalist’s included Allianz and QBE.
The NIBA General Insurer of the Year Award is considered to be Australia’s most prestigious industry award for insurers.
This is because it is voted on by brokers all over Australia. They select the insurer that performs the best overall across a range of important product and service quality criteria.

The announcement was made at the NIBA convention in Melbourne, the annual NIBA Convention is one of the most important events on the insurance calendar and one that plays a unique role in that it truly brings the entire industry together, regardless of cluster group allegiances, brokerage size and the ages of delegates.
Other award winners include Steadfast MD & CEO Robert Kelly as the winner of the Lex McKeon Trophy, at the 2016 NIBA Convention.
Presented by NIBA President, Graham Stevens, the award acknowledges leaders of insurance broking in Australia; people who have made a strong commitment to the industry, and who have been successful and highly regarded by their peers for their contribution and their achievements.
“Robert epitomises the commitment to quality advice and service to customers, and has been a major inspiration for the development and success of the cluster group model in Australia.” said Graham.
